Chicken braised

Ingredients

1.5 kg chicken

1 onion chopped

3 tomatoes, chopped

½ glass of red wine

½ cup of olive oil

Oregano

Salt and pepper

 

Preparation

Wash the chicken well and cut it into portions. In a deep skillet or saucepan brown the chicken and onion. Deglaze with the wine turning the chicken. Add all remaining ingredients and some water.

Cover the pot and let the chicken simmer for about 45 minutes.

Serve with fried potatoes, pasta, mashed potatoes or rice.
