Tartlets filled with jam
Ingredients for 6-8 people
250 grams of flour
250 grams of caster sugar
125 grams unsalted butter at room temperature
1 pinch of salt
1 large egg
1 lemon or orange zest
a little milk
jam of your choice
In mixer bowl add the flour well sifted, sugar and butter along with a pinch of salt and stir until you make a crumbly dough.
Add in the crumbs the egg and the zest and mix a little more. If you find that the dough is very compact, pour little milk to the mixture.
Wrap the dough with cling film and leave in the fridge for 30 minutes.
Sprinkle the kitchen counter and rolling pin with flour. Unroll the dough in order to make a thick layer.
Depending on the size you have the tarts, fill them with 1-2 tablespoons and smooth them slightly. Bake in preheated oven at 180 degrees 15 minutes.
