Apple cake with molasses



3 cups of flour, all-purpose

2 tablespoons of baking powder

1 tablespoon of baking soda

1 tablespoon of cinnamon

1 tablespoon of ginger

2/3 glass of molasses

1/2 glass of corn oil

2-3 tablespoons of brown sugar

1-2 handfuls of raisins black + blonde

1/2 cup of toasted and chopped almonds

2 apples grated

1/2 glass of orange juice and orange zest

Powdered sugar



Place in a bowl oil and molasses and mix the ingredients with your hand.

Pour the flour and baking powder and mix. Add the sugar, raisins, almonds and apples, mix well with a spoon and finally pour the orange juice in which you have dissolved the baking soda with the orange zest.

Put a buttered baking paper in a baking dish or cake tin and put the cake with a spoon evenly.

Bake in preheated oven at 180o for 40 minutes or until knife comes out clean. When it cools sprinkle with powdered sugar.
